We lost Ronan very suddenly in the early morning hours Sunday November 19th after what was thought to be a successful bloat procedure. Ronan was a true ambassador, a gentle and loving soul who did not know a stranger. He came to us after being hit by a car which resulted in the loss of his rear leg. He remained stoic and grateful through all his hardships and never stopped loving people and life. That tragic car accident on Christmas Eve last year is what most likely contributed to his death. The vet found perforations in his diaphragm which most likely led to him bloating when food slipped through. We are not like many of the larger organizations with tens of thousands of dollars, we want to be sure we always have a small buffer for emergencies such as Ronan's. 100% of our donated funds go to the animals and our welfare work, we take no compensation and fill in the gaps with our own paychecks.
